Polysafe stars in Chelsea’s centenary celebrations
Striking reproductions of Chelsea Football Club’s logos - produced in various shades of Polysafe Standard sheet vinyl safety flooring from Polyflor Ltd - are featured in the club’s Centenary Hall where an exhibition celebrates 100 years of football in the London borough.
Created via the Polyflor Expressions Design Service, which uses computerised water jet cutting techniques to create precise shapes and styles for aesthetic inlaid decoration, the flooring was installed by Chelsea Football Club’s preferred contractors CWC Flooring.
Polysafe Standard offers a choice of 16 vibrant and modern colourways with enhanced flexibility for easier fitting of corners and awkward areas. The range also features a surface emboss which hugely improves its cleanability.
Incorporating quartz crystals, aluminium oxide and silicon carbide particles for improved traction and safety underfoot Polysafe Standard, in common with all Polyflor sheet vinyls, can be welded at the seams and to coved skirtings to create continuous, impervious surfaces.
As well as meeting the requirements of EN649 and fully conforming to EN 13845, the range achieves a sustainable slip resistance value of 36 on the RRL Pendulum wet test with a surface roughness of Rtm 20µm,thereby adhering to Health and Safety Executive Guidelines. Fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, Polysafe Standard is certified as Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 8kw/m2 and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.
