Cladding work planned for £70,000 swimming pool upgrade

Cladding materials are to be used in a large-scale repair operation on a swimming pool in Nairn, Scotland.
According to the Press and Journal, £70,000 is to be spent on the facility to ensure its long-term future.
The news provider noted that the centre will undergo the replacement of wall cladding to the pool hall walls, following temporary repairs on the partitions last year.
Earlier this month, construction specialist Wilson Kasole told the Daily Monitor newspaper that cladding is excellent for making sure structures are aesthetically-pleasing and protected from the weather.
Scottish National Party councillor Liz MacDonald, commenting on rumours that the Highland Council may look to close the establishment, said she is unconcerned.
'They should definitely spend this on the pool because it's needed in Nairn,' she explained.
Aside from cladding work, the building will also receive replacement tiles, with this having been a problem that closed the swimming centre down for a period in 2005.
