Bathrooms and showers 'a popular bank holiday project'

Bathrooms and showers are popular at the momentBritish homeowners are hoping to make improvements to their bathroom and shower areas this May Day, a new study has found.

Research by the New West End Company also revealed 48 per cent of people across the UK are looking to make adjustments to their property over the coming year.

Commenting on the statistics, spokesperson for the organisation Jace Tyrrell noted bathrooms and showers are particularly important at the moment.

'The bathroom was the most popular room in terms of what [people] wanted to make over,' he remarked. '38 per cent said they were going to invest and do up their bathrooms this year.'

UK residents are in love with bathrooms, Mr Tyrrell added, with it being particularly on trend currently.

According to the expert, the bank holiday weekend has always been a time when the general public make home improvements.

The poll also revealed 41 per cent of Londoners quizzed were intending to redecorate in order to add value to their home.
