School installs vinyl floor map

Flooring firms have installed an A-Z street map on the floor of a primary school in London.
Created by vinyl flooring designer Floorink together with Forbo Flooring Systems, the floor map is part of a new extension at Clapham Manor Primary School.
The street map depicts the urban area of Clapham alongside various London landmarks.
The idea was conceived by the school in association with flooring reseller harveymaria, which supplied and installed the flooring.
Designers hope that the A-Z motif will nurture pupils' spatial awareness and create a sense of place within the classroom.
Floorink offers digital printing on commercial grade vinyl allowing flooring designers to use graphics, high-resolution photography, maps or logos in their work.
