Demand for high-quality bathrooms rising

A report has suggested that consumer demand for higher-quality bathrooms is on the rise. MTW research revealed that the modern consumer is currently focused on high-quality products and green-sustainable issues.
Firms able to provide and install environmentally-friendly bathrooms could enjoy success in the current market, according to the research. The report said: "The development of comprehensive solutions, rather than the supply and fit of a bathroom, is indicated to hold significant opportunity for the future in the higher value bathroom retail market." The research suggested that the bathroom market would now be worth £1 billion had there been no recession.
This tops current market value by around 35%, according to the report.
MTW highlighted the effects of the internet and supermarkets on pricing, adding that when making a purchase more consumers will push for a cheaper price.
