Carpets make a big comeback

Wall-to-wall carpets are becoming increasingly popular, according to a leading interior designer.
Homeowners are apparently gravitating towards carpets rather than timber flooring, ceramic floor tiles and other flooring solutions.
Adrienne Chinn, director of the Adrienne Chinn Design Company, said there were a lot of reasons why carpets were becoming popular again.
"People are starting to look at wall-to-wall carpets again which has not been a trend at all for about 15 years," Ms Chinn said.
She explained that there were a number of companies now offering homeowners the chance to design their own carpets, rather than choosing a product off the shelf.
This is driving creativity when it comes to interior design, by both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.
"A lot of interior design is becoming more creative for people if they want to go in that direction," Ms Chinn added. "They can put more of their own self and their own personalities into things."
