Ideal Standard 'not suffering seriously'
10/03/2009 09:35:09

International bathrooms expert Ideal Standard has announced that it does not expect to be hit too severely by the downturn, although it reports that the construction sector has been the worst hit industry after automobile manufacturing.
Speaking to the Sofia Echo, Ideal Standard spokesperson Vassil Kanev said that the company had a resilient product base that would help it through the downturn.
However, the company's factory in Middlewich would be idling for four weeks in response to subdued demand.
Despite this lull in trading activity, the company is continuing to make exciting additions to its bathroom range, with the new FIRST bath collection prominent among these new products.
Designed by Marc Sadler, the new FIRST baths have been designed with accessibility as a paramount consideration, with a step-in height of just 48 cm.
Brian Grey, Ideal Standard UK's marketing manager said that this makes it an ideal bath for customers of any age.
"Due to its flexible size and forms, the FIRST collection can be easily integrated into the most challenging shaped spaces, making it an ideal solution for inclusive design bathroom," he added.
