Apex Heritage Gutters & Downpipes

Alumasc Apex Heritage Cast Iron combines a range of traditional gutter profiles with round and square pipes, and all associated fittings and accessories, to provide a complete rainwater system for traditional contracts.

Many contracts are still essentially craft based, particularly refurbishment and restoration of historic buildings.

Alumasc has taken the traditional process of iron casting, and by adding modern quality control and finishing techniques has produced a product range that is in keeping with traditional architecture and building methods whilst being fully in tune with contemporary performance requirements.

Finishes

Alumasc supplies cast iron products factory primed with one coat of protective red oxide primer. This primer will give protection against corrosion during transportation and short-term under cover storage, and will provide a suitable surface for final painting. Alumasc recommends that on site a further priming coat be applied, followed by one undercoat and two gloss coats of an alkyd paint system.
