CAPTION FOR IMAGE 2: At the Stoneham Green affordable housing scheme the bespoke district heating system is based around two 26kW Windhager BioWIN biomass boilers located in one central BioCABIN which is a pre-packaged plant room. Roughly the same size as a single garage, the BioCABIN also houses a hopper for up to nine months’ wood pellets, together with a 700 litre thermal store which feeds all eleven homes.
